Kioene veggie burgers are a healthy and tasty main course, ideal for those who are watching their diet without forgoing the delights of the palate. To appreciate them at their best, what you need is a worthy side dish. Equally tasty and balanced in nutrients, these five side dishes will be ideal for accompanying Kioene veggie burgers. Here is how to prepare them:

1) Sweet and sour Brussels sprouts
Very healthy and easy to prepare, Brussels sprouts are a delicious side dish for veggie burgers. To preserve all their precious nutrients, you can steam them and garnish them with a freshly prepared vinaigrette sauce. Mix together some olive oil, lemon juice, salt and half a teaspoon of sugar. Season the Brussels sprouts generously and serve them as a side dish, adding a sprinkling of black pepper for extra zest.

2) Sunomono
Sunomono is a typical dish of Japanese cuisine: it is a tasty cucumber salad, made appetizing with the fresh taste of ginger. Peel two large sweet cucumbers and slice them very thinly. Place them in a bowl and season them with a pinch of table salt. In a separate bowl, prepare the dressing by combining four teaspoons of sugar, one tablespoon of soy sauce, ginger and five tablespoons of rice vinegar.  Pour the sauce over the cucumbers and leave them to macerate in the fridge for at least an hour.   You can add a touch of crunchiness to the dish with a spoonful of toasted sesame seeds.

3) Roasted carrots
Roasted carrots: nothing easier and tastier for a side dish.  Cut the carrots into thick sticks and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.   Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes.  Remove from the oven and season with extra virgin olive oil, salt and a pinch of pepper. You can add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar for a pleasant sweet and sour taste.
